MIKE PANIC REPTILES!
I have been breeding reptiles for 18 years now. For many of those years, I have had a love affair with colubrids. For most of that time, Cornsnakes were my main focus but along the way, I also kept and successfully bred various Kingsnakes, locality based North American Milksnakes, Ratsnakes, and of course Pine and Gopher snakes. At one point, I even managed a decent size colony of Leopard Geckos.
Throughout those years, I made many friends and contacts in the hobby. It is during those years that I developed strong fundamentals on keeping and breeding reptiles. One of the most important lessons I learned is to secure the best breeding stock you can afford right from the beginning. So, as time passed, I yearned for something more challenging to keep.
After speaking with my good friend Tom Burke of Burke reptiles, I decided to invest in his Lipstick Sunglow Stock as well as some of his other projects. I was on my way to producing some of the finest Boas available.
In 2008, I was surpised when I produced several outstanding Paradox Boas from a pure Lipstick litter. I held back some of the more extreme Paradox animals as well as their “normal” non Paradox siblings. Through breeding trials planned for 2010, I hope to be able to prove if the Paradox gene is inheritable. More recently, I have taken an interest in Blood Boas which is where much of my focus remains today. There are no large warehouse type collections here. I am a small breeder and I am proud to call myself a hobbyist. If you ever have any questions, please use my contact form to email me or call me at (631)335-6287. Thank you. Mike Panichi
