Lipstick Paradox Copulation (Freak)
I caught my Lipstick Paradox male who I call the Freak, breeding with his sister a full Lipstick DH for Sunglow. I am hoping for more Lipstick Paradox with this breeding and using this breeding in an attempt to better understand the Paradox gene. She is now gravid and due in mid March!

Hello Boa fans!!! I hope everyone had a great winter. We had a good amount of snow out here on Long Island this winter and I am still digging out. The Boa breeding kicked off very early this season for me and it looks like I will have a few litters in March this year. I did a lousy job at updating my site last season and I truly apologize for that. I promise to do a much better job at keeping the site updated in 2011. On a side note, I will no longer allow comments on each post due to the ridiculous amount of spammers out there. It’s just too much work to stay ahead of these creeps! Please look for some 2011 breeding photos and of course when the litters arrive(god willing), I will post photos. Until then, stay safe and be well. Mike Panichi

Fr0m the first puddle of goo, I witnessed the entire birth. 25 babies and 3 slugs. I’ll post photos after they have shed. Until then….be safe. Mike Panichi

Hello Boa fans. This Het for Berry Blood female owned by Ryan Decaro of Decaro Morphs, ovulated this morning. For those of you who haven’t seen what an ovulation looks like, here it is. It kind of looks like she ate a rat that was slightly too big for her. Its much easier to see on smaller Boas such as these Bloods and Central Americans. With some luck, she should shed in a couple of weeks(referred to as a POS or post ovulation shed) and go straight onto the heat. Until next time, be safe. Mike Panichi

Hello Boa fans. I was fortunate enough to capture this image this morning. Its a pure male Blood Boa from John Berry breeding with a pure het for Berry Blood Boa female. They have been locked up for hours now!! The female is owned by Ryan Decaro of Decaro Morphs. Ryan and I decided to team up and create some quality PURE Central American Blood Boas. Ryans female is from John Berry’s “Berry Blood litter”. For those of you who dont know, that particular litter yielded a few very different looking Blood Boas. Most importantly, they were pure. Since pure Bloods are far and few between, it was my intention to create a line of pure Blood Boas to have in my collection. I was lucky enough to meet up with Ryan and after discussing our breeding goals, we both felt it would be a really nice breeding project to enter into. I’m hoping the babies from this litter will stand out amoung Blood Boas and like their parents, stay very small. Anyway, thanks for looking and stay tuned…..Take care. Mike Panichi

In 2005 I purchased a pure Lipstick Sunglow male and a pure Lipstick line DH for Sunglow female from Tom Burke. In 2008, they bred for the first time and in May, the female gave birth to a litter of 48 babies. Imagine my surprise when I noticed that writhing around amoung all of the outstanding Hypos, Albinos and Sunglows were a few very different looking Boas. In the litter were three very obvious Paradox boas and several what I identified as “low grade” Paradox boas in the form of Hypos. A few of the Sunglows from the litter also had white blotches littered throughout their bodies. That summer, at the Whiteplains NY reptile show, a gentleman approached my table and without saying a word, went through all of the Hypos which I suspected were low grade Paradox Boas, and purchased every one of them. He returned a short while later and told me he felt they were all Paradox Boas. Of the three obvious Paradox Boas, I held back two of the most extreme males and two of their sisters. This season, I have one of the Paradox males in with his mother and the other Paradox male with an unrelated, yet full blooded Lipstick Albino female. Both males have been courting the females non stop so I have my fingers crossed! I will post any results, good or bad, as they become available. Here is a photo of the first thing I noticed when I looked into the females cage. I thought to myself, what the heck is that? A Paradox!!! Anyway, thats the story of my Lipstick Paradox Boas. Take care and be well. Mike Panichi
Blood Boas
The Blood Boas all feel the warmup for sure now. They are all courting their females and I’m expecting some copulations soon. I’ll post up a photo if I’m lucky enough to capture one. Here’s a Blood Male with an Arabasque female. Anyway, take care and be safe. Mike Panichi
